What is a pessimist?

A pessimist is a person who tends to see and interpret situations or events in a negative way. They generally have a negative outlook on life and a tendency to expect the worst possible outcome from any situation. Pessimists often feel that the world is a difficult and challenging place to be, and they may struggle to find joy or happiness in their daily lives. They may also be cautious or hesitant when faced with new or unfamiliar situations, and may tend to focus on the potential risks or downsides of any decision or action. Although pessimism can be exhausting and discouraging, it can also be a valuable coping mechanism for dealing with difficult situations and setbacks.
